I've always loved taking pictures. I received my first camera when I was 3 or 4 years old. My dad loved photography and he instilled this passion in me at an early age. Insecurities have held me back from really exploring this medium and purchasing equipment that would enhance my skills. My son has pursued his love of photography and film as a career, and this has inspired me to really look closer at my own passion.
This year I decided to pursue this love a little bit more and put myself out there. Just my phone, a borrowed camera and enjoying the process. I will share some of my favourite photos, and will offer some prints in the future.
I mostly take nature pictures, as that is where I spend the majority of my time when I'm not at work. I look back at my journey and I like taking photos while I am traveling of angles, shapes, patterns and things that are more 'artsy'. Same in nature. I look at patterns, shapes, and some of the tiniest things you could imagine. It's like being a child again - looking through the lens with wonder!
